STUDENT CREDIT CARD:

The Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal has introduced the Student Credit Card Scheme for the students of West Bengal to enable them to pursue education without having any financial constraints. For further details visit (https://wbscc.wb.gov.in/)

EDUCATION LOAN / BANK LOAN:

The Institute provides all assistances to obtain easy and prompt “Education Loan” for the eligible students. (Criteria: subject to concerned authority).

.Students who belonging to SC & ST Category can avail themselves Education Loan applying to “West Bengal SC ST Development and Finance Corporation”. For further details visit (https://www.wbscstcorp.gov.in)

(A) SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MINORITY COMMUNITY/SC/ST & OBC STUDENTS:

1. Student belongs to Minority Communities may apply to the Government of India in prescribed format to Scholarship from “National Scholarship Portal”. For further details may visit (http://www.scholarships.gov.in)

2. Meritorious students can apply to “Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship” for Financial Aid. Whichever applicable in his/her case. For further details visit (https://svmcm.wbhed.gov.in/)

3. Meritorious students can apply to “West Bengal Chief Minister Relief Fund Scholarship”/ “Nabanna Scholarship” for Financial Aid. Whichever applicable in his/her case. For further details visit (http://www.wbcmo.gov.in)

4. Students belonging to SC/ST & OBC Category can avail Scholarships applying to “Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal”. For further details visit (http://www.oasis.gov.in)

(B) SWANATH SCHOLARSHIP:

1.0 OBJECTIVE OF THE SCHEME:

The Scheme is being implemented by AICTE to provide encouragement and support to orphans, wards of parents died due to Covid-19, wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action (Shaheed) to pursue education. This is an attempt to give every such child, an opportunity to study further and prepare for a successful future through education in AICTE Approved institutions and courses.

2.0 ELIGIBILITY FOR SCHOLARSHIP:

1) The candidate should be from any one of the following categories:

(i) Orphan

(ii) Either or both parents died due to Covid-19

(iii) Wards of Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces martyred in action (Shaheed)

2) Family income from all sources should not be more than Rs. 8 Lakh per annum during the financial year of the application. A valid income certificate issued by State/UT Government is to be enclosed.

3) The candidate should be currently studying in the AICTE Approved institutions and courses at Degree/ Diploma level in regular mode.
